• 1.5 lbs pork shoulder, cut into large pieces 

• 1 yellow onion, chopped

• 4 Tbsp. cumin 

• 1 tsp. oregano 

• 2 Tbsp. olive oil 

• 1 tsp. salt 

• 11 oz green salsa, any brand of your choice 

• 12 oz chicken stock  

Directions

Step 1: Season pork shoulder with cumin, oregano, and salt on all sides. 

Step 2: In a saucepan over medium-high heat, add 2 Tbsp. of olive oil. When the pan is hot, add pork shoulder and cook on each side for approximately 3-5 minutes until golden brown. 

Step 3: Reduce the heat to low-medium, add the chopped onion, and cook for 2-3 minutes or until translucent. 

Step 4: Add green salsa and chicken stock and bring to a boil. Then reduce to a simmer, cover, and cook for 45 minutes. 

Step 5: Carefully remove the pork shoulder from the saucepan and shred it with tongs or 2 forks. Then, return the pork to the saucepan and garnish it with chopped cilantro.
